This forum stopped being used because the moderators deleted a lot of posts that were deemed by them to be racist or sexist or something else un-pc, a number of people got fed up with this and a newer forum was set up at:

http://www.nirelandpoetry.proboards57.com

come over and join the fun.

Just to clarify - the forum is still running here but the new forum will allow for everyone to recongregate under a new name with new administration.

This forum did close for a while after a particular incident in which a forum member sent a number of personally abusive emails to the administrator. It did not close because of the nature of the posts as these were moderated in accordance with the terms of the proboards service.

Whilst this forum was closed a new forum was set up by Gerard at nipoets - and we would be happy to recommend that people use that forum- this forum will remain open for those who wish to use it respectfully but we would recommend that you check nipoets as well in order to ensure that you don't miss anything!

I hope this clarifies the situation. I am also hoping that a new website might be undertaken (or transferred to a new home and new name) in association with the other forum - as I have suggested to the webmaster and to Gerard.

all the best

Chelley

hi i was under the impression that the site had been closed down and moved to nierlandpoetry.proboards57.com hence the reason i stopped posting. I have started to use the site again as i may have been wrong in assuming that Nirelandpoetry were the new group of belfastpoets.

The answer Johnoe is yes and no. www.nirelandpoetry.proboards57.com was set up when this board closed earlier in the year and a lot of people who used this forum now use the other one. However, since this is back online there's nothing to say you can't use both if you want.
